The Disney Junior site redesign was one of the last projects I worked on during my time at Disney, and was a culmination of many of the things our team had learned over the last 2 years. The previous Disney Junior site was due for a major update and our team had very specific goals we wanted to accomplish with this redesign. It needed to be responsive and designed "tablet first". The navigation was simplified from the previous iteration that had multiple redundant ways to find content and characters. The Disney Junior branding had to be predominately displayed and the characters were king. There were many other aspects to the redesign that made this site successful, but the one I am most proud of, is we were able to incorporate fun back into the design. This is a site for kids after all.
